Beyond tools, The art of computer Science

"Computer science is an art", An idea that crosses my mind on the job everyday. There can definitely be an aesthetic to theory, So lets dive into this.

What qualifies something to be considered  art?

Many argue that art cannot be defined. Art usually refers to something  done by some folks with a communicative or aesthetic purpose—something that expresses an idea, an emotion or, more generally, a world view.

Computer science falls into that category, once you abstract your ideas beyond logical boundaries and you discuss desired results, you uplift your thinking  and go beyond what you conceived to be applicable. i'll explain this bit,

Many think that software developers for instances, execute commands and run mathematical equations on a daily basis. What we are really doing and discussing is  building a brand new endless world with robust technologies that connects people around the globe and gives them a way for creating and transcending humans to a more connected global society.

Like Alan Kay said: " Computer Science inverts the normal. In normal science, you're given a world, and your job is to find out the rules. In computer science, you give the computer the rules, and it creates the world. Isn't that an art?

Either way, whatever is what you do in life, whether painting, writing, coding, it's all art. One is interpreting how you see the world whether through the symbolism of paint or numbers or mathematics.

I emphasized on the sentence a world view earlier, telling my readers implicitly that the internet is a different way of looking at the human world, our desires, ambitions, past, interactions, they all live in the internet. It's human incarnation, our way of defying death and extending beyond our mortal lives.

This marvelous invention was the fruit of multiple research and hard work, especially with the invention of TCP/IP which is the very building block of the internet as we know it today, it's the internet protocol suite, a conceptual model and set of communications protocols used in the internet and computer networks.
Similar to mine-craft, or more, let's say similar to reality. you have your laws, and building blocks, and you go build your world as you may see fit.

godlike powers? indeed, but there's more!

imagine that a person’s brain could be scanned in great detail and recreated in a computer simulation. The person’s mind and memories, emotions and personality would be duplicated. In effect, a new and equally valid version of that person would now exist.

This is called mind uploading, and many scientists believe that it is possible and inevitable. Maybe not in our lifetime.

It's hard to imagine, just like it was hard for our ancestors to imagine that man could fly and we do fly today. That ladies and gents, human curiosity in action. We keep evolving and evolving toward what most presume is our own destruction. That's a story for another time, or maybe, another world ;)

Welcome, to the era, of the internet.
